A little about us!
Melisa and I met in Virginia back in 1996. We had our first son Talen in 1997. At this time I was getting ready to go into my Senior year in High School when I came to the conclusion that I might not finish school because I needed to find a way to support my new family.
At first I was kinda upset about this decision, but realized it was the best decision for us at that time, besides, I had no intention of attending College anyhow. So I started delivering pizzas full-time, making $500-$650/week.
I always had an act for making money and knew at a young age that I was going to be very wealthy someday. I knew that delivering pizzas wasn't going to cut it.
I spoke with my Grandfather and he told me to learn a trade and start my own business. Great advice I thought, so I seeked out a trade by which I could learn, then go into business for myself. Low and behold turns out the Mainetenance guy in our Apartment complex had a friend who was looking for helpers in the Flooring Business. Now I knew nothing about carpet but figured this was exactly what I was looking for.
To make a long story short, I learned the trade in about 7 months, then decided to take my grandfathers advice, and started my own Carpet Installation Company in 1998.
Imagine how tough it was to be 18 years old, 7 months experience in the trade, starting my own business, and now seeking work. HA! For the first 4 months I still don't know how we paid our bills. As faith would have it, I stuck with it, and finally landed my first contract.
In 1999, I completed my first year in business and our company Grossed $60,000. Not bad. Also in 1999, my daughter Skylah was born.
By 2001, our carpet company was now well established and we were doing more than $500,000 in business, and Melisa and I secured a steady 6 Figure income. Nice, right? WRONG!
I was always at work, missed my 2 kids best years as they were growing up, and as far as Melisa and I seeing each other, well.......?
Something had to change.....
It was at that time I started to research ways of making money online. I didn't realize how tough this was going to be. There were all sorts of things on the net, which was real, which was fake, and most of all, which was going to work for me?
In 2002, we stumbled across our first Network Marketing Opportunity with a company called Herbalife. I thought this was the greatest thing in the world. But, as it turned out, I lost more money than I ever made, eventually quiting and continuing with my chosen trade.
In 2004 my sponsor into the business wanted to share with me a business venture that went on to change my life forever.
Partnering with him in 2005, I shut down my very well established carpet company in Virginia, and moved my family to Michigan with hopes of a brighter future.
Our first year in business we did nearly $1 million dollars in sales, and knew for sure this was going to be the business that made us wealthy. However, just as 1 good decision can make you a million bucks, 1 bad decision can lose it all. In 2006 we shut down that business and had to start all over again.
Now what did we do?
We never gave up, first of all, we knew, if we can succeed with 2 businesses we can do it again. Only this time we were much more wise!
During this transition in 2007 we also had our 2nd son, Baustin Alexander.
Here it is 2008, Melisa and I are pregnant with our 3rd son, Aszpen Wealth who is due Sept 19, we have re-established ourselves and make a comfortable 6 figure income working online from home. Most of our income has come from Affiliate Marketing and now we are building an organization with a company called Xango.
Right now our business is starting to really take off. We have 30-40 people joining our team every month and it is only going to get better!
Our secret is Faith. We have grown to accept Christ in our lives over these past 2 years and since doing so, our lives have completely transformed. We realize now it is not about money and wealth that we seek. It is Freedom and the ability to help others improve the quality of their lives.
