Prospecting for business....
When Prospecting for any business venture there are a few characteristics you should always abide by. First of all, always be honest. There is nothing sweeter to the ear than that of the truth. There really is no need to hype your business opportunity. Besides, if you don't speak the truth, telling stories/lies will always catch up to you. What happens when someone does get involved with your business, and what you told them isn't true. You will lose not only that business partner but your credibility as well. And never underestimate the power of word of mouth! Second, be patient. Build rapport with those people you are working with, get to know them. Ask lots of questions about their family, their work, etc. The key to successful prospecting is actually in the relationship building. I have found some of my best friends through prospecting for my business. Finally, make it a habit. Everywhere you go, talk to people. Don't throw your business down their throat, however, be friendly, ask questions. Be the one person that brightens up everyones day when you are around. By doing so, you will find people are attracted to you, and then they ask what it is you do. The more people like you, the more they will love to be involved in your business. Go out and start today.
