Who wants to be a Millionaire?
By Ronald Curtis Jr
No I am not talking about the Television Game show either! Although, if you consider how popular that show was, then the making of the video games, it would serve as evidence that most people want to be Millionaires.... More proof would be the lottery system. The chances of winning the lottery are basically, "once in a lifetime," yet millions of people play every week, hoping that they pick the lucky numbers. The irony? These same people complain and criticize about the wealthy? "You can't have what you speak against." We have all heard the stories of people who have won the lottery. Then these same people go bankrupt 3-5 years later. Many times we believe that being a Millionaire is just about money, however, there is much more to it. There is a mindset that is required to create and/or manage wealth. "You must first think like a Millionaire." This was one of the quotes that stood out to me when I started becoming more involved in the self development industry. When you consider those winners in the lottery who could not keep the increased wealth that they won, it was an indicator that there is a lot of truth to this statement. How do Millionaires act? How do they think? What do they enjoy to do? So many questions started to run through my mind because I really, really do want to be a Millionaire. I think one of the main reasons this has always been a dream of mine is because of the options money provides for you in life. Not only can you live your life to its fullest without financial limitations, think about all the good that you can do for others. There have been many times when our church has been raising money, whether for a missions trip or other charitable causes that were near and dear to our heart, where we just wanted to give them the money needed from an anonymous source. Or, what if a family member and/or close friend is sick and needs an operation they cannot afford and doesn't have insurance, their need can still be met. There is so much good that can be done with an abundance of wealth. It makes you think about Warren Buffet when he gave $37 billion of his fortune to charities in 2006. What a blessing...... So, who wants to be a Millionaire? Are you willing to become the person necessary to handle the responsibility that comes with being wealthy. Darren Hardy from Success Magazine said, "You can only create and maintain the level of wealth that matches your personal development. Thus if you want to have more (wealth), you have to become more (valuable)." We have all been given gifts and talents. Should we decide to sharpen our skills, and tap into our true potential, the possibility of becoming a Millionaire, especially in our day and age, is in our favor. If you have the discipline and the willingness to make it happen, then what is stopping you? "All that might be holding you back are your own limiting beliefs. You only need to embrace your own great potential, cultivate it and release it into the world. The marketplace will remunerate the contribution of your talents with great abundance." - D.H. Tap your potential and we will see you at a Millionaire retreat soon! God bless, Ron |

I am wondering why anyone would want to be a millionaire. If a person can't answer the "Why?" question they are very unlikely to become a millionaire.

To become a Millionaire is a great blessing when done right. First of all, the person you become in the process is amazing, and the lives you will bless is very rewarding. Wealth comes in a few different ways. Creating value for others, and/or investing wisely, being frugal with your money, and living a humbled lifestyle. When done right, being a Millionaire simply increases the peace of mind and quality of your own life, while offering opportunities to do the same for others.
Some people are doomed to be millionaires because they have never learned that money is made round to go round. I was not quite a millionaire but there were so many people I wanted to help and so many things that I wanted to give other people that money did not stay around me for very long. I do not have the temperament nor do I have the degree of acquisitiveness to desire to be known because of what I have - I would rather be known for who I am. Even in my present state, I can only say that a little money would ease my current situation but if I do not get it, it does not matter because I am confident within myself.

I am an extreme optimist, and believe in the more you give, the more you shall receive. Through our personal experience, it is fact that having enough money to take care of your obligations and support your family is most important. To have an abundance of cash flow simply opens more doors and presents many more opportunities to circulate your prosperity. I do not want to be known for my possessions, or as the "rich guy," if that was the case I would have become an actor. Instead I want to know that I lived to my potential. In the process of becoming a Millionaire, you must offer value to the marketplace. The more value you offer, the more lives you bless, the more prosperity you will attain. "You can't have what you speak against." Money should not rule your life, however, for anyone to say an abundance of cash flow would not be useful is simply not being honest. I agree Arthur, people who hoard their money and become rich are doomed. Money is made to go around, and the more you have, the more you can give, and the more you give, the more you will have in return. It is a vicious cycle......

I have heard this about receiving what you give before. Maybe I just gave everything to the wrong people for the wrong reasons? I have spent my whole life (so far) 'giving' - I am now in the strange position of having to ask for help but have never learned how to do it so am having to rely on others. There are people on this coast of Spain and in parts of Devon (UK) that are running businesses and living in houses that I helped to finance. I am told I am fool for not making my assistance in the form of repayable loans but I simply do not have the time to worry about people who take me and my gifts for granted - if that is the way they are made, so be it. I cannot change the way I am made nor can I understand why all these 'sayings' relate to others - not to me. Could it be because it does not work with unconditional gifts? (When I left the UK I ensured that I had paid all my taxes. On my final return there were cash gifts of 217,000+ pounds or $328,350+. In the first four years in Spain before my health cracked up I had made cash gifts of €27,000+ or $34,230+ to various people - it would be nice to see reciprocity in action.)
"You only need to embrace your own great potential, cultivate it and release it into the world. The marketplace will remunerate the contribution of your talents with great abundance." - D.H. Worth repeating.
